1. Three films you rented recently?
We’ve been on a bit of a renting drought recently so can only think of two:
Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny we watched this night and it was better than I thought. I’m not a great fan of comedies but this made me laugh and to top it of Dave was in it as the Devil. We love Dave in this house. I got tickets to see the Foos from Karl for my birthday.
Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest – I know we must have been the only people not to have seen this already but we watched this night too. Loved it! It made the 90mins of grafting the two clementine shawl halves together so much more bearable.
House Season 1: We got Seasons 1 and 2 from Tesco’s last week for £18 each, so although not strictly a rented dvd it is something we have been watching a lot of.
2. Are you into any crafts other than knitting?
I am trying to learn to spin on a drop spindle. I’m sort of getting it just need practice, oh and the time to practice. I also dye yarn and roving. Other than that no other crafts.
3. Any New Stash or Notions Acquisitions?
I got some Sabraset dyes the other day from prochem. I got the two Spinning in Colour kits (minus the book as I already have it). I plan on having a go with them soon. I need to make a khaki colour so fingers crossed. I also ordered some more blank supersock (75% wool 25% nylon) sock yarn for dyeing this week.
4. What Are You Listening To?
Audiobook – Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. I am loving this! I am only just getting to the end of part 1, there is another 3 parts to go. The whole unabridged version is about 40 hours long. I get my books from audible as it is great value.
Music – right now I am listening to the Foo Fighters.
5. Name Five Things On Your Knitting Wishlist?
I am seriously coveting the new Knitpicks Harmony Wooden needles, both the options set and the DPN set. I’ve heard rumours that they will be available in the UK by the end of the year. Fingers crossed
I can’t wait to see the Socks That Rock Raven Series. It comes out just after my birthday so I’m asking family for money for my birthday, so I can get some (or all maybe!)
I’m looking for a nice knitting bag, something that I can use as a handbag but keep a medium sized project in too. I love the Lexi Barnes bags, but being in the UK it means getting them from US. I do like the Jordana Paige Satchel and the Namaste Jetsetterbag.
The new Cat Bordi book is also high my wishlist – so many great reviews! It looks really interesting but once again something else not yet available in the UK or at least not that I can find.
Sock Yarn – any and all. I’m not fussy!
